Video Community Evangelist / Manager - San Francisco

Part-time, Full-time & Internships

Are you totally tapped into the user-generated video community? Do you LOVE story lines about people's personal philosophies, aspirations and rich experiences? Are you a social networking goddess or god? (Demigods are acceptable too. ;-) ) Do you aspire to be rich and/or famous one day? Your Truman Show, Inc. is looking for energetic, telegenic, enthusiastic and highly persuasive people to reach out, develop and manage the YTS community. We need dedicated people to be fully involved in the YTS community and represent the "voice of the user" with product development and marketing.

Responsibilities:

Evangelize, monitor and manage the YTS community by being a "face" for the company.
Reach out and stay connected with YTS content generators and end-users, keeping close tabs on those rising in popularity.
Advocate for content generators and end-users, bringing their perspectives and needs to the table when issues arise.
Fight abuse and promote user safety.
Develop initiatives to inspire, encourage and instruct users at all levels to become stronger YTS participants.
Regularly post on the YTS blog, including all policy changes and company announcements.
Update site FAQs, edit text for website and community e-mail correspondence, and write and distribute weekly newsletter.
Professionally represent YTS on Internet message boards.
Screen video uploads to ensure proper format and compliance with YTS community standards.
Work with entire YTS team to develop and implement strategies to acquire and retain users, as well as to increase user time spent on YTS site.

Requirements:

Passion for Internet video and user-generated content
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be tech, Web and video savvy
Experience with social networking and community development
Ability to interpret community needs and appropriately translate to product and marketing teams
Must possess an excellent work ethic and a team player philosophy
Must be dedicated, driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and sometimes unstructured environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
